Hello!!!...today I speak about “Education and Prevention” in my career. This is a very important topic, because, is a principal tasks of me career.
All women need to be educated in different topics, for example: birth control, abortion, pregnancy, eating habits, etc. , but one of issues requiring most further education and prevention today is the “Teen Pregnancy”, and we have the responsibility of give the education correct and of prevent this situation.
The “Teen Pregnancy” is a topic very controversial and hard of treat. Our roles as midwifes is prevent at any cost this situation, because affects not only a one person, if not to all a family.
Education should be directed according to the needs of people, and it must take into account for example the age, the where they live, social stratum to which belong, etc.
The education and prevention go together always, because the education is a tool of the prevention. We can educate of different ways, for example with “talks”, workshops, games, etc.
Other topic very important in our career is the birth control, because all the women resort to the midwife for help and advice to have a birth control, and then a family planning. This last topic also is very vital, because we must promote healthy and responsible sexuality, to avoid unwanted children, abortions and teenage pregnancy.
In conclusion, the midwives are a focus education for all the population, so always must use this feature for prevents any kind of problems affecting the population.
