My ideal Job

My ideal job in the future would be one in that I can go dressed as I like, because I do not like the shoes that the midwives wear in the job (like shoes for grandmothers),I know that they are comfortable, but I would prefer my style. I think that my ideal job would be in Ñuñoa or in Provicencia, because I like those communes. In this work I would have a month vacation in summer and two weeks in winter to rest because it will be stressful. But forgetting those things, I will like to work as a midwife in a clinic, but for this I would need a lot of quialities and skills like: punctuality, responsibility, mastery of the procedures, I will have to be nice and cozy with clients, patient, observer and knowing how to work in groups.

I think that I would be good in my job because, I am going to love what I will do and because I think that I will have all the quialities and skills that I would can need.
I think it will be difficult to get a job like this because I know that many things that I want are impossible, I mean a month of vacation or to go with the clothes that I want is something that I will not can do, but I know that I will find some job that likes me and that I can realize.

A crazy Story!!!

Hi all!!!....Today I will tell you a story very fantastic, but also very comic.

One upon a time, in a country faraway lived a very beautiful princess. She was very mistress for all population of the kingdom, her name was Fiona. But, she had a terrible secret, enough as for destroy the kingdom.

When she was a little girl, an evil witch threw a spell, and since then she has suffered this horrible curse. All the nights, when the moon is hid, the beautiful princess has converted in a disgusting ogre. In the day she was more beautiful than sun, and the night she was uglier than evil. She knew that nobody in the world would want love her with this curse. The only way of break the curse: she had to be kissed by her true love.

One day, her parents decided enclose in a castle, guarded by a dragon more terrifying than devil. The only way of escape was being rescued by a true gentleman, who would destroy the curse.

Faraway from there, lived in a swamp of the forest a terrible ogre. He was very asocial, and loved the loneliness, her name was Shrek. One day, he met a very singular personage, her name was “Burro”, and obviously, he was a donkey. Shrek never thought that would be great friends.

In other place there was a very bad king, who wants all the power. This king banished to all the fantastic creatures to the swamp of Shrek and this decided challenge him.

Then, Shrek went to see to the bad king, accompanied by his unconditional friend “Burro”. The king tells Shrek that for recover his swamp, he tapeworm that rescue to Fiona…

Education and Prevention

Hello!!!...today I speak about “Education and Prevention” in my career. This is a very important topic, because, is a principal tasks of me career.
All women need to be educated in different topics, for example: birth control, abortion, pregnancy, eating habits, etc. , but one of issues requiring most further education and prevention today is the “Teen Pregnancy”, and we have the responsibility of give the education correct and of prevent this situation.
The “Teen Pregnancy” is a topic very controversial and hard of treat. Our roles as midwifes is prevent at any cost this situation, because affects not only a one person, if not to all a family.
Education should be directed according to the needs of people, and it must take into account for example the age, the where they live, social stratum to which belong, etc.
The education and prevention go together always, because the education is a tool of the prevention. We can educate of different ways, for example with “talks”, workshops, games, etc.
Other topic very important in our career is the birth control, because all the women resort to the midwife for help and advice to have a birth control, and then a family planning. This last topic also is very vital, because we must promote healthy and responsible sexuality, to avoid unwanted children, abortions and teenage pregnancy.
In conclusion, the midwives are a focus education for all the population, so always must use this feature for prevents any kind of problems affecting the population.

A Very Controversial Topic

Hello!!!....am me again!! Today I will speak about one topic very interesting and controversial: Gender Role in Health Care.

Always has existed one big difference between the gender female and masculine in the area of the health professionals, for example: in the medical career have always been more men than women, on the contrary in the nursing and obstetric career have always been more women than men.

This situation has occurred, because some careers are classified as “careers for women and men’s careers”. This is the case of my career: Obstetrics and Child care is classified as a career for women, and although are many more the women working in this area, men also do.

The men that deciding work in this area are very few, but are excellent professionals like women. Women and men share the same responsibilities, newborn care and women, but the most of the male midwives, they choose the newborn care.

The most surprising is that although there are more female midwives, the male midwives are more quoted and requested that female midwives. Because many women say that they are more careful and kind.

On the wage issue is no difference between men and women, because this depends of the speciality and of the workplace, for example in a clinic the salary is far better that in a hospital.

No difference to me between women and men, to be midwife only you need to have vocation and the desire to care for women and the newborn.
